Arabie at Azaheer Fragrances: candied mandarin, dried fig & dates over cumin, nutmeg and resins—finished with cedar and sandalwood.

Inspired By Arabie by Serge Lutens is a warm spicy woody-oriental fragrance for women and men, released in 2000 and created with perfumer Christopher Sheldrake. It evokes a spice souk at sunset—rich dried fruits, candied citrus, and hot woods wrapped in mysterious warmth.

The fragrance opens with a luscious, sun-dried sweetness: candied mandarin peel mingles with dried figs and dates, creating a sticky, golden fruit accord that feels warm and indulgent. As it develops, the heart turns boldly aromatic, where cumin, nutmeg, and clove bloom alongside balsamic resins, tonka bean, Siam benzoin, and myrrh. This stage builds the signature Lutens “mysterious heat”—both gourmand and incense-like.

The dry-down is pure craftsmanship: cedarwood and sandalwood provide a polished, woody foundation that feels refined and quietly powerful. The result is sweet-spiced but never childish—warm, noble, and timeless.

Ideal for fall and winter, and best suited for evening wear and intimate, atmospheric settings. Arabie is designed for those who appreciate rich spice compositions with depth, heritage, and a sensual, resinous glow.

Top Notes: Candied Mandarin Peel, Dried Figs, Dates.

Heart Notes: Cumin, Nutmeg, Clove, Balsamic Resins, Tonka Bean, Siam Benzoin, Myrrh.

Base Notes: Cedarwood, Sandalwood.
